Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset on Highway 90, near Valentine, Texas.

"As a night photographer, I shoot almost exclusively by the light of the full moon. One of the things I enjoy most about photographing after dark are all the latent details, those things which reveal themselves only when you take the time to let the moonlight tell the story. I love the calm and tranquility of a peaceful night scene, as well as the eerie feeling one can get when shooting an old desert ghost town under a full moon. Since all of my images are created at night, my exposure times are measured in minutes rather than fractions of a second, and because of this, I often use a technique called "light-painting", which is the use of portable, handheld light sources to add supplemental light to a scene. While this light tends to create a mysterious, surreal look to a shot, it also often creates a tension within the viewer by rendering familiar subjects in a most unfamiliar light, drawing them into a vision of our world most have never seen or imagined before."- Noel Kerns
