ROCKY WATER

Photographer Nikol Bartzoka's approach to black-and-white photography is deeply intentional; stripping away color to focus on the fundamental elements of the image. Bartozka often explores themes of identity, solitude, and the passage of time, inviting viewers to engage with the subtle details and emotional depth present in her work.

About the Piece

Nikol Bartzoka was born in Kastoria, Greece. She studied Mathematics at the University of Crete and during her studies there, she experimented with her true passion, photography. After her Graduation she was employed as a mathematician, but soon after she decided to study photography in Thessaloniki. She graduated in 2003 and worked as photographic assistant. In 2004 she relocated to Athens and continued her studies at the University of Photography. At the same time she started working as a fashion photographer for clients in Greece, Italy, London, New York, Cyprus, Portugal and Spain. She runs her own studio in Athens since 2005. Her work appears in many Greek and international campaigns/publications.

  • Damage Resolution: While we cannot control occasional damage by UPS or FedEx, we will work with you to resolve any issues. Damaged works can be exchanged within 14 days.

All Frames Include:

  • UV-blocking acrylic plexiglass
  • Acid-free, archival materials
  • 100% natural wood molding with a deep profile. 

Frame Specifications:

  • Extra small and small frames: .75" molding, 2" mats, 1.2" deep
  • Medium and large frames: 1" molding, 3" mats, 2" deep
  • Matless frames have a spacer to prevent print from touching the acrylic.
