He has been a professional fashion and commercial photographer since 1986. His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, W, and GQ. Nicks’ first book, Kustom, inspired by car culture, plastic surgery, and the energetic excess of Southern California, was published in 2000. His second book, Polaroids of Women (2018), feature enigmatic snapshots of celebrities, models and friends that capture the special relationship between Nicks and his subjects.
