Imbued with a sultry romance, best selling photographer Amanda Pratt’s photographs are as romantic as they are playful. "I want my photography to tell a story whether it is a singular image or a series of images. I am most influenced by the work of Fellini, Hans Christian Andersen, Godard, and Coppola. I love locations that feel completely authentic. I like shooting in a dilapidated house with peeling wallpaper and an overgrown garden, and I also love a location that is rich in culture like India or Morocco. I tend to go in with a certain time period or a specific location in mind, and then I tell a story around the visual narrative I have created. The hair, makeup and styling has to fit with the overall vibe I want to convey. If I am in a studio and not on location then the styling needs to be even stronger so that the visual story can come alive."
