How would you describe your style?

Elevated traditional – but every project differs and is geared towards a harmonious mix of both the architecture of the home and the client’s lifestyle.  As showcased by our growing portfolio, we are not a one size fits all firm!

Tell us a bit about your professional background.

Design was my calling from a young age but it was a hobby for many years until it became a career – like they say, love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life!

"Design was my calling from a young age but it was a hobby for many years until it became a career – like they say, love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life!"

Is art part of your original design concept or does it evolve as the project progresses?

I often tell clients art will either be our first decision or our last - we’ve designed rooms around killer pieces or more often, use art to perfectly complete a space.

How do you select art with your clients? Do you suggest the work and have them approve or do you look for art together?

Because art is deeply personal, we typically approach art sourcing collaboratively with clients, guiding them with our design expertise and working together to bring their imagination to life.

Can you tell us your favorite design hack(s)?

Simple – getting to know my clients!

Your portfolio is so diverse. What is your process to understand the needs of each client and property?

With each new project, we take the time to really get to know the clients and understand how they live within their home.  What does their day-to-day life look like?  Are there young or adult children spending time in the home?  If and how they entertain.  That knowledge allows us to deliver a case-by-case approach to each project, ensuring that every space reflects the client’s unique lifestyle and personality.

Favorite pice on Artstar?

The cassettes, of course!  They are the perfect fun addition to my projects.  Kiddos love the colors and especially love listening to the music - even though they usually have ZERO clue what a cassette tape is.  Parents love the nostalgia aspect!  Everyone is happy!
